Established in 1961 as a mechanical contractor, General Mechanical, Inc. has grown to become a fully diversified industrial contractor. We supply comprehensive construction services to a wide range of customers with a variety of needs. Whether your project involves the repair of process piping, the installation of major equipment, or the construction of a fully operable ground water extraction and treament plant, we have the resources to get the job done.

Our experience shows the need to remain flexible at all items. The majority of our work is not the “cookie cutter approach.” Projects are usually sensitive to ongoing operations, complex in nature, have accelerated schedules, and challenging site conditions.

Through out nearly 50 years of business, General Mechanical has been, and continues to be, committed to local ownership by long-term employees. What began in 1961 as a small business with only three employees has since expanded into a team of 16 staff members and over 100 full-time craftsmen. The majority of our foremen and supervisors have over 20 years of experience in their respective trades, and we have civil and mechanical engineers on staff in addition to the business relationships we have formed with several local engineering and architecture firms.

In 2004, we expanded to include design/build skills and a commercial-tenant improvement group. We are excited about what the future holds for General Mechanical as we continue to strengthen our team and expand our operations.
